Last night we attend a Caribbean Series championship baseball game between two teams in the Liga de Beisbol de la Republica Dominicana (Dominican Winter League). Six professional teams from across the Dominican Republic make up this league. Also, many of the players that make up these teams are from the MLB.
It was an exciting game between the La Romana Toros del Este and the Santo Domingo Leones del Escogido at the Franciso Micheli stadium in La Romana. While at the game you would think you were at a SEC game back in the United States with all of the spirit that filled the stands! There was even a mascot dance off!
And the Toros won! Let’s go Toros!
